About
Casa Dresden
Multilingual jack of all trades “gets big picture”, makes street & travel photography, will work for cameras, gadgets, great food & travel
by Juliette Mansour, Atlanta, Georgia
Throughout most of my career, I thought my “jack of all trades” reputation was a problem; a wayward wanderlust or some kind of career deficiency. I eventually came to know that there is a place in the world for people who are able to see and connect with the big picture and get things done as well – people who can “wear many hats”. In 2007, I packed up my hats that I gathered in my mostly linguist and web professional world and turned Casa Dresden into a dwelling of creative incarnations for hire.
Contractor by day (see CV/profile), I am usually talking, planning, designing and developing web, mobile and social media messaging for Spanish users. Talk about language and translation cannot be avoided either. By night, my obsession with cameras and street and travel photography desperately seek an outlet, so I take my literal and figurative darkroom experiences and share them via Juliette Mansour Photography of Casa Dresden. My digital and film images are of street and travel photography mostly. And because I dabble in many things, the site also hosts blog posts about culinary topics, health, culture, gadgets and shots of select, local Atlanta events, including personal photography shows around Atlanta.

*If you didn’t already know it, the word “casa” means “house” in Spanish. Dresden is a city in Germany that survived a great deal of turmoil and rebirthed itself into a cultural and artistic splendor. It’s also the name of the street I grew up on.
